Prizes & Rules

With your support, 34 qualified sanctuaries and rescue centers providing rehabilitation or long-term care for great apes and gibbons throughout Africa, Asia, and North America will be able to compete from nearly $40,000 in awards sponsored by American Anti-Vivisection Society (AAVS), Maria Norbury Foundation, and the Arcus Foundation.

Read below to learn about how awards may be won. Golden Tickets and Leaderboards will be live for 24 hours on October 4, 2016, from 12:00 AM ET to 11:59 PM ET. Only gifts made during this time will count towards Golden Ticket opportunities.

Golden Tickets

Every hour, on the hour, a donation from the previous hour will be randomly chosen and the receiving organization awarded $100.

Leaderboards

There are six leaderboards from which participating organizations, and personal fundraisers, will be competing. The top performing organizations in each of the leaderboards will win:

1st Place: $3,000

2nd Place: $2,000

3rd Place: $1,250


Leaderboards Titles & Descriptions:

1. Most Donors (All) -- All participating organizations are included; the three organizations with the most unique donors, regardless of donation amount, will win awards.

2. Most Raised (Smaller Orgs) -- The smaller half of participating organizations are included in this leaderboard. The three organizations raising the most in donations will win awards.

3. Most Raised (Africa) -- 17 organizations are included in this leaderboard. The three organizations raising the most in donations will win awards.

4. Most Raised (Asia) -- 8 organizations are included in this leaderboard. The three organizations raising the most in donations will win awards.

5. Most Raised (North America) -- 9 organizations are included in this leaderboard. The three organizations raising the most in donations will win awards.

6. Most Raised by Individual Fundraiser -- Every personal fundraiser is included in this leaderboard. The three individual fundraisers raising the most in donations will win awards for their organizations.

Arcus Foundation can modify any restrictions or conditions if, in the sole judgment of the Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community. Arcus Foundation reserves the right to deny or condition the distribution of prize grants if, in the judgment of its Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes necessary.
